The Federal Judicial Police and the Federal Road Police have carried out a targeted control action on fraud with the digital tachograph yesterday. In as many as six of the seventeen checked trucks, professional fraudulent systems were discovered. With these systems registrations of the digital tachograph of the trucks could be falsified. "Due to the presence of these fraudulent systems, drivers' driving time could be converted into rest, which has an immediate impact on road safety, fair competition and social legislation," says Filiep De Ketelaere of the Labor Inspectorate.
